MEALS FOR CHILDREN IN THE SLUMS

We feed about 1200 children in 10 locations in the slums in Cebu. We work with Lucille and team, WYAM Cebu. The ministry started in 1999 held at the YWAM Ministry center with kids from the nearby villages. There were about a hundred kids who came faithfully to our kids club. Many of them now are professionals; teaching in the schools, and some are on staff in YWAM. In our Kids ministry, we teach them the Word of God, action Songs, play with them and also pray for them and also taught them to pray for others. Along with our kids ministry is also the Mother's Bible Study.

Many Moms bring their kids to the kids ministry every afternoon. After we feed them spiritually, kids are always more excited to be feed physically, as a result the number of kids would increase during the food distribution but the Lord always muliply the food. Kids would call their siblings to come and get food. The feeding program is one of the most effective tool to reach out the kids and families in the slums for Jesus. Many families came to know the Lord through our feeding program. From a hundred to more than a thousand kids with their moms that we feed each week. Families are always excited to see us everyday bringing nutritious food for them. We prepare different menu for them each week; rice and chicken porridge, macaroni soup, pork and vegetable stew with rice, Noodles soup, chicken soup and rice, champorado ( chocolate porridge which is every child's favorite and the most requested food. We are so thanful for High5Give5 as our sole supporter in our feeding program .

Without their faithful support we won't be able to feed nutritious food in our feeding program. Thank you High5Give5 for your partnership and for your generous support. We are training and teaching the kids to be warriors for the Lord that they will not give up when everything in life is tough that they will learn to trust the Lord for their future.
