Kachilitwa is a village in Baringo county Kenya. It is arid area where some droughts have lasted even more than a year. When the drought comes, food security is huge problem. There are no crops and cattle dies.
The only permanent source of water is a small stream nearby, but the water is not very clean and at times it dries up.
There is a Full Gospel church who is active in serving the community and evangelizing those villages around which don’t yet have churches.
Next to the church is a school with 320 students who would directly benefit from the water. Now they don’t have to walk every day more than hour to collect water. Water would give them more time for school. It would also help the children and other villagers (about 700 other beneficiaries besides the children) with health due improved sanitation and hygiene.
Pastor & team have a great plan to sell farming products and with income support evangelists in unreached areas in nearby villages.
This is a good church and active in ministry. This area has lots of conflict and the church through evangelism can offer people real peace.
