High5give5 supplies rice and beans to the 180 children in an orphanage through KingsBridge International. Also funds special projects on seasonal and ongoing outreaches.
King's Bridge International was birthed out of a mission trip to Northern Uganda in the wake of a brutal civil war. After witnessing the unthinkable atrocities that were done - especially to children - the team's leader (Mike) was deeply moved to do more, and KBI was formed. For the past decade, KBI has been planting deep roots throughout Uganda's remote regions, working with isolated endogenous tribes living in extreme poverty. King's Bridge is a front-lines ministry, serving the poor in a variety of ways, including providing food and medical supplies, along with teaching, counseling, and evangelism. Along with special projects and seasonal outreaches, KBI also supports an orphanage/school of 190 children. They help to supply food and other necessities to precious children who are often the worst victims of abject poverty and disease. Mike and the team would like to thank Bettina and "High 5" for their generous support of our work and mission.
The ministry started with 28 street kids with a soccer ball and rice and beans. It quickly grew to 50 children. They feed every Tuesday and Thursday.
We work with One Call Ministries led by Pastor Peter in Kampala. They reach out to street kids in the slums of Kampala with the Gospel, share the hope in Christ and build relationships. Meals are served after the program.
