Where Faith Meets Food and Care

In partnership with Ciudad Refugio

A community kitchen in Colombia operates every Saturday in partnership with Ciudad Refugio, serving vulnerable children and families through nutritious meals, recreational activities, and spiritual support. The project provides essential food security while creating a safe, dignified environment for local families, migrants, and internally displaced people affected by conflict and economic hardship.

Beyond meal provision, this initiative delivers holistic family support by combining food security with hope, dignity restoration, and community building. The program specifically targets vulnerable populations including migrants fleeing neighboring countries and internally displaced families struggling with severe economic challenges. Through recreational activities and consistent weekly presence, the kitchen creates joyful experiences while addressing immediate nutritional needs.

Current Operations

Beneficiaries: The program serves more than 70- 80 children and at least 5 parents weekly, maintaining stable attendance throughout the year.

Frequency: Weekly service every Saturday (approximately 4 times monthly).

Medellin

This month, we were able to provide weekly meals to 70 children, 10 teenagers, and 10 parents through our outreach program.

During our time together, we shared about who Jesus is and what it means to have a relationship with Him. The children also enjoyed a special movie day, which continues to be one of their favorite activities and a meaningful opportunity for fellowship and learning.

I would like to apologize for the quality of last month’s photos. We experienced some challenges with photography and file storage that affected what we were able to share.

Colombia Update

This month, we have been feeding more than 70 children each week. During our time together, we’ve been sharing about the women of faith, focusing on the power of God at work in each of their lives.

The quality of the meals continues to improve, thanks to God’s provision and your support.
